It is widely assumed that twentieth
century becomes a turning point of global climate change. People’s behavior, on this modern era, are rarely figuring out the
impact of what they have done and it may cause climate change on Earth. This
climate change could lead into several disaster on Earth. One of the disaster
that may be happening is the rise of the global temperature which lead into the
declining Arctic sea ice which makes the surface of sea level raising. To
prevent this, the government and people can work together. The government can
start with issuing a policy about limitation of cutting trees. Beside that,
people should be efficient in using any energy, such like electricity, gasoline
and etc. Moreover, the government and people should adopt a renewable energy in
all sectors.
One way to prevent the effect of
climate change is by limiting of cutting trees. We all know that forests are
lungs of our Earth. According to a research, every year 33 million acres of
forest are cut down and loose 1.5 billion of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere.
As we know carbon dioxide is Earth’s ozone (O3) main enemy. Improved
agricultural practices by balancing the amount of wood taken out with the amount
of new trees could decrease the chunk of emissions.
Another way to prevent the effect
of climate change is by being efficient in using energy. In a majority, more
than 50% of power generator on Earth still use coal and 90% of vehicles use gasoline
as its fuel. We know that coal and gasoline are part of fossil energy which
always produce carbon dioxide (CO2) when it burnt. People can start
being efficient in using energy by buying low energy home appliances or hybrid
cars.
Another way to prevent the effect
of climate change is by adopting a renewable energy. It is generally assumed
that the most used energy comes from fossil emissions, not to mention renewable
energy such like wind, solar and water. Fossil fuels formed from dead plants
and animals more than 100 million years ago and it is highly contributed to energy
on Earth. We know that every fossil fuels always produce carbon dioxide (CO2).
This much differs if we compare it to a renewable energy which produce less or
almost no exhaust gas to the atmosphere.
