The Importance of Clean Water for Health

            The problem of clean water is the most fatal thing for our lives. Where everyday we need clean water for drinking, cooking, bathing, washing, and so on. With clean water certainly makes people avoid disease. Everybody know that, at this time clean water is still a rare and expensive item in Indonesia, especially in big city like Jakarta. Unlike a decade ago, it was easy to obtain always abudantly flowed in every corner of the land in Indonesia. The cause of rare clean water is environment pollution such as water pollution, air pollution, and soil pollution. Environmental pollution is mostly caused by human. 

            Pollution of water is pollution that occurs in waters such as river, sea,  etc. Nature has the ability to restore contaminated water conditions with purification process by purifying the soil, sand, rocks and micro organisms in our natural surroundings. Garbage and waste water contain various elements such as dissolved gases, dissolved solids, oils and fats and microorganisms. Microorganisms that contained in garbage and waste water can causing disease organisms. 

            Pollution of air can caused by transportation vehicles such as cars and motorcycles are also the biggest contributor of air pollution that occurs in various parts of the world. Actually not because intentionally, but the need for this kind of transportation is still very much. Although most people already know the smoke that released by car  is pollution, but in fact the increase number of motor vehicles continue to occur. Smoke from a motor vehicle releases carbon monoxide, which is very harmful to the health of the human body. This substance can be toxic in the body and can kill humans. 

              Many farmers in Indonesia use inorganic fertilizers, pesticides, and insecticides to increase crop yields to be higher. On the other hand, this is certainly good because we will get more food, but on the other hand the use of these materials will make the farm so polluted residue or poison residue and become one of the causes of soil pollution. The use of inorganic fertilizers, pesticides, and insecticides often makes many soil organisms such as insects and small animals killed, and larger animals that eat small animals (such as in the food chain) are also harmed. Ultimately, the residue and the rest of the toxins are washed away by rain and over time, they will end up water bodies and cause water contamination.
