Should the Rapist be Castrated?

            The percentage of the rape and sexual harassment for women increase from year to year. Based on the latest data in 2016, rape is the highest position of the problem that happen in this year which has 1.389 cases. There are a lot of opinions for the punishment that will be given to the rapist. One of the punishment is castrated. There are two point of view from the society about the castrated punishment. The first is pros and the second is cons.


            However, the victims of the rape usually have mental disorders. Because they have passed so many compulsions and violence from the rapist. From that case, the family’s victim usually ask the hardest punishment for the suspect. Some of them offer castrated as the punishment. That kind of punishment can make the rapist lose their desire. They believe it will subtract the rapist in this country. Because they can not do anything related to rape and sexual harassment anymore.


            In the other hand, the doctors do not agree with this kind of punishment. Because, they think it does not fit with their job. Based on the code of medical ethics, doctors supposed to make people healthy instead of to make people become deformity. How can castrated be held if there is no doctor who want to do it?


            So, in my opinion, even if the rapist do bad things, they still have a human right. The government need to find the other punishment to make the rapist scared and come back to the right way. For example they should be jailed for a long time and get the highest fine. I hope it can affect the rapist mental.
